THE NATIONALS OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED COUNTRIES CAN LODGE THEIR APPLICATIONS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 8, 2008.
Collegium Civitas warmly welcomes applications from Polish and international students.
Within Studies in English at Collegium Civitas, potential students may apply, in the 2008/2009 academic year, for a place on one of four degree programs:
- 3-year BA in International Relations
- 3-year BA in Political Science
- 2-year MA in International Relations
- 2-year MA in Political Science
Prospective students are admitted twice a year: during the summer and winter admissions periods.
The 2-year MA in International Relations and the 2-year MA in Political Science are open only to those who have already attained a BA degree. Collegium Civitas strives to satisfy all international standards of higher education. In particular, it complies with the Bologna directives which, among others, permit the enrolment on the 2-year MA programs in International Relations or Political Science of students who have not previously studied either of these disciplines. Thus, someone who has previously studied the Chinese language, for instance, may be accepted as a student of the programs in question and may receive an MA degree in International Relations or Political Science in two years, providing that she/he passes the admissions process and collects a sufficient number of credit points during the two-year period of study.
Candidates who have completed their First Cycle studies, usually taken as being the completion of the first three years at a college or university, in International Relations or Political Science, but have not formally received a BA degree, may apply to be accepted as 4th year students of the corresponding departments.
In order to become a student of one of the BA programs, one has to send us his or her high school diploma, a proof of proficiency in English and some other documents specified below. All applications are considered during the admissions procedure and each applicant is personally informed of the decision reached by the Committee.
The selection of candidates to all programs is carried out on the basis of transparent and fair criteria. The first criterion is an applicant's preceding performance in school or, if the applicant applies to the 2-year MA Program in International Relations or in Political Science, at college (university). The second criterion is a command of the English language. Candidates are required to present evidence of their proficiency in English. Please note that even applicants from countries where English is well-known, such as Nigeria or India, must provide proof of their knowledge of spoken and, in particular, written English, since the writing of academic papers is a major course requirement at Collegium Civitas.
Occasionally, the Admissions Committee finds it difficult to make a definite decision. On such occasions and when feasible, a particular candidate is invited for a tele-interview.
There are two student intakes each year. For the fall semester of the 2008/2009 academic year the admissions process lasts until July 31, 2008 for prospective students from all countries except the EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Island, Norway, Switzerland, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and Turkey. The nationals of the above mentioned countries can lodge their applications until September 8, 2008.
Applicants are selected on the basis of their school performance (for BA programs) or college grades (for MA programs), and of their command of English. The required paperwork and where to send it can be found at www.civitas.edu.pl You will also find there detailed information on financial arrangements and visa requirements.
Transfer students and One Semester Abroad students may apply until September 17, 2008 (to start their studies in the fall semester of the 2008/2009 academic year) and until January 28, 2009 (to start their studies from the spring semester of the 2008/2009 academic year). The transfer students and One Semester Abroad students wishing to further their education at Collegium Civitas should contact Dr Serge Pukas, Supervisor of Studies in English, at serge.pukas@collegium.edu.pl

At Collegium Civitas we care about the quality of our studies, about class sizes, professor-student contacts, management of student affairs and internship programs. This results in the policy of admitting not more than 30 students per program of study. Therefore, the candidates are well advised to apply early.
